Default '92 LT1- what part is this???

So I had a little mishap with a squirrel that decided to build a nest, and put 2 babies, on the driver side valve cover of my '92 Vette. Thank goodness, they were relatively nice tennants, and didnt seem to damage any wiring, with the exception of one wire. Against the firewall, at the top of the engine bay, on the drivers side, sits the computer. If you are at the front of the car, facing the back, just to the left of the computer, there is a roundish thing, with 2 or 3 plugs going into it. What is this roundish thing? They chewed through a wire going to one of the plugs. I am moving up the block in 3 days (to a place with a garage YAY, that is literally a mile away), and need to move the car. Is this something I could leave unplugged, just to get me to the new place, where I can fix it much more easily?

if you're talking about the thing mounted on the firewall, just above the driver's side valve cover, it's probably the wiper motor.

congrats on the new garage.

If it's on the firewall, it might be the windshield wiper motor. It has a black plastic cover that is sort of round with a couple of wire connectors that connects on the right side. Do the wipers work??

Hello Mark, I hope you are well - many thanks again for last year's help!
I think it is one of the SIR components. Is the INFL Rest warning light on?

Yup.. thats the one..

Cant test em. When the car sat for 3 months, the battery went dead .. if it is the wiper motor, then that would be great.. I can worry about fixing it up after the move..

The car ran great up until I took it out for a serious spin abouit 3 weeks ago. I could have bad gas, fuel filter problem or something else

But the tune you did worked great - it passed inspection with flying colors back in November!
Plus, it pulls (or pulled) like a teen-age ape

Hey - how did the LT headers upgrade come out?

Great!! So glad to hear that she was running well for you!

The LT headers?? Didn't happen yet.. with the wedding, and all the dissertation work, and the fact that the guy who was going to help me with them, wasn't able to last summer, nixed it for the time being. Hoping to do them this summer though. I am having some brake issues at the moment that need to get resolved first though..

The wedding - what an exotic event you folks had set up - makes an old fogie like me jealous
