I have an Altronics wideband that has rpm input and two 5 volt inputs. I will be using a 5 volt input to monitor TPS.
RPM input? Can i use the distributor reference pulse as a RPM input ??
I'm going to tie into the harness at the ECM so if i can get both inputs at the same location, all the better.
I'm all ears
Thanks
I think so, as long as the unit / software is able to translate that reference pulse to crankshaft RPMs. Meaning (if I am understanding correctly) - for every 1 distributor reference pulse, the unit knows that the crankshaft has gone around 2 times, giving you the proper RPM data. (See my other thread in this section )
