Default ls2 engine

Does anybody know if an ls2 engine can be put in a 1995 and what automatic transmition would I need.

yes, alot of work...alot of pain...alot of $$$

you will need:

LS2 engine assembly, PCM, complete harness...your 4L60-E will work, but should be beefed.

LS2's are fly by wire...which means there is no throttle cable.

might need to notch crossmember for clearance (or piece of mind)

standard C5 manifolds or block huggers should work for exhaust. there's plenty of room under there for that.

compared to just modifying the current LT1 in your car to an acceptable level of power, i can say it's not worth it. you have a very good foundation to start with.

then again, since i am swapping a 427 BBC into my 84, i might not be the best person to take advice from. i live by the creedo bigger, better, faster....
