Default Smog Pump eliminator question.

Just had the smog pump eliminator installed on my 87. When you do this you get rid of the little gate valve that sits under the snout of the throttle body. Well, this had two wiring harnesses plugged into it, any ideas what they do and what you do with them after you eliminate this thing. I'm assuming it was some kind of valve and the wires just signaled it to change positions depending on engine temp and it shouldn't have any effect on this car if you just leave them unplugged.
Anybody???????

Thanks,

David

I just left the wires sitting there, i crimped some ends on them, but theyre not connected to anything. It wont throw a code or any other fault on an L98.

I'm not sure what you mean by gate valve under TB though, I did leave the pipe that sits down beside the WP alone, the one that eventually runs to the cat. The one connected to the cat itself i yanked off.

But either way you can just let it be, it wont do anything.
