Intake stripped
I took my Throttle body off the car last week and cleaned it up. When I went to replace it I discovered that the last person to work on it stripped out the bottom two bolts running through te throttle body and into the intake. 
... probably got a little excited with the air tools. 
1. Do I need to try and retap it? one semi tightens the other spins free...
2. Use a heli-coil insert thing... Not real sure what i am talking about here.
I am all ears. I did get a new gasket in preparation off the repairs. Car is running poorly now with leak around throtte body and intake.

If the holes are too stripped to re-tap, I would insert a Heli-Coil. You can purchase a heli-coil kit from most parts store, just bring the bolt with you so, you will get the kit with the correct size.

You can try by first chasing the thread with the right tap, but if it spinning it is probably wasted.
heli-coils, stronger than the original and IMO all allum., heads etc. should have inserts to begin with.

heli-coil.you'll get a ''kit'' with all req'd toys (except drill motor,tap handle, and shop-vac) including several heli-coils.
''waste'' one helicoil on a scrap chunk of aluminum first if it doesn't look straight forward to you.
heli-coils are stronger than plain tapped hole, are used commonly in new stuff for better hold

If there is room there i would find someone who has a Time sert thread repair kit, if not go with a Heli-coil.
