95 VIN NUMBERS??

95 VIN NUMBERS??
Looking up data on the 95's I found that the VIN's started with
1G1YY22P7S5100001 and went to 120294.
My question is that on my 95 vert, the number between the "P" and the "S"
is a 6 not a 7 as all the data I can find shows.....
Any ideas why the 6 is there and not a 7?

The ninth digit is a check digit that validates the VIN. It varies.
