87 c4 brake upgrade
hey people
did a search but didn't really come up with answers.
just did the zr1 wheels on my vert, now of course rotors and calipers look horrible, been thinking about newer calipers and slotted rotors.
I see kits for $750 & up but if I want to peice one together myself whats up?
I see z05 calipers for $199.00, GS calipers for $249.00. whats the easiest way to use a 13 rotor and newer (prettier calipers)
and who do I get the caliper adapter bracket from. I would just
paint my calipers and get new rotors but I think I got a sticky caliper and if I need a new one might as well upgrade. If the kits are my best deal which one and from who?

This is a pretty good deal from a Forum vendor. Unfortunately for me the sale started after I bought my brakes or I would have bought these.

did the c5 brake upgrade on mine last year, under $500 total.
new calipers,baskets(brackets),guide pins from local acdelco parts.
new rotors from napa.
ceramic pads from autozone
(8) new socket (allen) head bolts (2 different sizes as reqd)+(4) nuts--all metric, grade10.9--from fastenal.
brackets made from (2) pieces of 3/8x2 cold rolled steel 6-1/4'' long ea
rattle can of cold galvanizing spray from advanced auto
new calipers,baskets(brackets),guide pins from local acdelco parts.
