What head gaskets to use?
Which ones to use? I was looking at the Pre-flattend copper .039 compressed
with I guess a bore up to 4.166 I think their in summit or jegs, would that be the better way to go? I'm using a 67cc alum. head with flat tops, punched over .30 and 10:1 compression?

if you have no special reason to use steel or copper head gaskets...ie: get the compression ratio up or for valve to piston clearance....use fel-pro perma torque head gaskets. otherwise you will have to re-torque the head gaskets after you get the engine hot. that means undoing the headers or exhaust manifolds ,valve covers and even the rockers if they are in the way...and all the other stuff that gets in the way.

I agree that you probably want to use a Fel-Pro gasket that you don’t need to re-torque, however you should check options on thickness. The thickness of the gasket will factor into your overall compression ratio. So check with Fel-Pro on their thoughts on what type to use (they recommend different ones for Aluminum heads vs Cast, etc) and then calculate your expected compression ratio with the different thickness gaskets (use the compressed thickness).
