Does a 1992 lt1 have a knock module??
I got the LT4 knock module from what I read here on the forum, but I don't think my '92 has a friggin knock module. Only the normal knock sensors.. WTH??
I have the ecm apart and there is none in there to replace.. LOL

The Lt-4 Knock module is only for the 94-96 PCM controlled cars. If will not work of the 92-93 ECM cars.
I would guess 92s probably do have the equivelent of a knock module programmed into the ECM though. That doesn't help you though.

LOL.. Figures I bought one after reading countless threads about the LT4 knock module on LT1's but never a mention about the non-existance on 92-93 vettes..
Anyone want a brand new acdelco LT4 knock module for $40?

I was just going to PM you on how you made out with that!
If worst comes to worse, I HOPE you saved the receipt, give it back to me and we'll take it back.

What's the difference between the knock module on the LT4 and the LT1's ESC (electronic spark control) Module?

Good question.. The LT4 knock module plugs into the ecm itself , and the lt1's esc is located somewhere else..
I know I upgraded to a less esnsitive esc on my '85 years ago, but I am not sure if that works on the lt1's..
ps.. Geebus. I am temporarily using a 1.73Ghz P4 spare pc as I am reloading my athie 4400x2, but OMG this thing is friggin SLOOOWWWW..
Sorry.. Had to vent..

The LT1's ESC module is located on the side of the blower motor housing.
