Default Brake Pressure Light.

OK I've been reading the forums buy use the good 'ol search button and came up with the solution that maybe there might be nothing wrong with the car. But you decide and tell me what you think.

The other day I spent some time under the hood washing the engine at the car wash. Didn't have any problems coming home or anyother engine mishaps due to the washing. The next day I'm on my wayto work when the "brake pressure" light flickers then stays on. I thinking there might be someting wrong with the brakes. Brake work fine, no leaks and booster still has vacuum. Pedal operates normal too.

Then on the drive back to work the light is out and i run into the store to pick up a few things..... I go to leave and the light does the same thing..... it flickers then goes soild. I take a look at the switch on the master cylinder and it "looks" fine. Today while drive the car to and from work nothing..... just like it was two days ago.

could it be that the switch was just wet and finnally dry? or maybe the worst bad master cylinder or ABS controller?? Any thoughts on this?
Thanks Johnny......

You washed the engine at a car wash? Amazing you aren't having more problems. Unplug the wire at sensor, use some electrical cleaner, dab on some diaelectric grease. Assume your brake fluid level is good and it is clean?

I'm thinking that it plug being wet might have had something to do with it. Car drove fine this moring and the light didn't come on. E-Z fix huh.

Good thing you don't have an early unvented Optispark Module!

Not long after I got my C4, I had just finished a nice blast up to about 80 on the freeway, after sitting at an accident for 1.5hrs. The brake system pressure light comes on, stays on for about 30 minutes and goes off. Never come back on and never had a moments trouble from the brakes.
Go figure.
I relate this experience to you as a way of saying: I wouldn't worry about it unless it starts happening a LOT!
