Before anyone mentions it, I know that shorties really offer very little in performance advantage, but I am looking at upgrading my exhaust, so I am considering shorties in addition to a cat back.
Currently, I am running stock manifolds into through a stock down tub and into stock cats exiting through eliminators. What I am looking for is a complete bolt on setup, so shorties that will bolt right to the stock down tubes and a cat back (probably Corsa) to bolt up to the back.
I have found Hedman and Pacesetter, shorties, and would guess that the Hedman are far superior. The headers will certainly look better thatn the existing manifolds, and by going to the Corsa mufflers, I should still get a nice sound with a lot less resonanace.
JBA's are very nice, but they are pricey. Hookers are a crap shoot in terms of fitment. Some need a bit of help in order to line the tubes to the exhaust ports on the heads.
For several years I ran Hooker shorties with my Flowmaster cat-back. The Hookers looked real nice, the sound was sweet, but it did take a bit of persuasion to get them to fit.
if you are more for appearance, why dont you smooth out the surface of the manifolds and have them coated?you could also do a little massaging on the inside and pickup ahp or two.just a thought.

If you want quality, go with the JBA's. Not cheap but well made and go on better than most. The kit is complete and no need to chase hardware..
the one's from slp are pretty good, they come with super thick flanges, 16 gauge steel and stainless, they cost more than the coated jba's, pacesetters and hookers.
