Popping from engine????? Help

Popping from engine????? Help
1995 vette 383 lt1 procharged 8lbs of boost, plugs sound like they are popping under 50% throttle.has a full tank of 5 month old gas could this be the problem? It has all the right parts from gas tank to air filter professionally done. Any advise would be appreciated. Thanks Bam

with forced induction.. after that long sitting in a small container like a tank the octane rating has degraded below fresh 87 octane.. you are essentially running on **** gas.. if you don't plan on running the car hard or are planning a trip, drive lightly but I would at least put a few gallons of fresh 93 in to try and help part throttle detonation under light loads in your taller gears.. run it through then fill a fresh tank of 93 and that oughta do it!
the other alternative is to mix in some race grade fuel like a 112 from a track if you have one near by or a racing fueling station.. some here locally have at least 100 octane unleaded but is only dispensable in containers as the nozzle is larger then the hole for the gas tank.. good luck with it!

Bam. lol. get that gas out of the tank.
I had my car down for 6 months running N/A. I got it together and took it for a drive. just cruisin about. a maxima came up and started messing with me, So I hit it, he hit it, and he pulled away from me. lol.
bad gas will make a fast car run like total ****. I siphoned it out, put in new, and it was back to how it should be. burning out in 2nd gear at 20 mph.
I would siphon, or pump that gas out. put it in the lawn mower and see if it even runs on it.

Just A Quick Update on Popping Plugs
OK, Got the bad gas out put some fresh 93 octane in drove it around a few miles then WOT presto 9lbs of boost now! No popping, no hesitation, YEH boy it feels good running like a champ all the way up to 6800 redline. Thank You For all your help.
