What is the real skinny on injector cleaning products. I hear a lot of different opinions on this subject, some say its the worst thing you can do, others say best thing they ever did. Sure would like to see some good information on the pros and cons. Anyone care to comment on this subject. Thanks in advance.
I've read here that later injectors can be harmed by commercial cleaners, but I don't think it is a problem with ours.
Just read a "tune up" article in Corvette & Chevy Trader" where they recommended periodic (every 60k miles or so) professional untrasonic cleaning. Though I haven't done it yet to my Vette's injectors, I highly recommend Rich at http://www.cruzinperformance.com/
He replaces parts, ultrasonic cleans em and flow tests for $10/injector. For another $5/injector he will blueprint them.
