700R4 self destructed
The trans made a very loud bang. 1st and 2nd feel like the brakes are on. And reversr is seized. Nuetural and Park are working just fine.
So anyway, My new trans from Art Carr was delivered on friday, less then two weeks as promised, built to take up to 600 HP with a lock up torque converter able to withstand 1000 HP.
Can't wait to install it this week. It's great working at a car dealer. i can tow my car to work and install it myself, with a dual post rack, and air tools.

wish I had lift at a dealer. Sorry to hear bout your tranny. SOunds like mine 2 weekes ago. the Planetary left the case, just like elvis. Just got mine back from Level Ten. The 250 mile drive home was great, but the weeekend traffic on NJ turnpike was a killer on my soul. :seeya

The new transmission cost about $2900.00 with torque converter.
The trans is capable of handling 600HP. The torque converter is capable of 1000HP. Plus if you want to change ypur stall speed in the first year. They will do it for free. You just need to send your torque converter in.
The trans was ordered for Art Carr direct.
