Chip burning makes you a hero or a zero. They are loved or hated. I am running a chip by forum member(and supporting vendor) Jesse Azzato. He uses the name ski_dwn_it on the forum. Alvin at pcmforless is also a forum supporting member. I am very satisfied with the price, service and performance of my prom from Jesse. Both have a reputation of working with their customers for retunes and adjustments as needed. TJ Wong is also a well respected contributing member.
I went with Jesse because of his reputation on the forum and he answered a LOT of questions for me when I was having trouble with my car. Not only was he a big help but he did so without ever once saying I needed a new chip from him. When I did find out that I needed a new chip, he got my call.
I have a chip from ski. I have a chip from Alvin. Remember, if they dont have the car in hand, it may take 2 or 3 burns to get it right. If you have a very common set-up like LT 4 / hot cam or 219/superram this will make it much easier for whoever does it. They have past experience with the more common combinations.
I have had chips from 3 different tuners. 1 was when my car was stock, the other 2 was when I had added the mods in the signature. You will see who I am happy with by my signature and read my mods and 1/4 mile times and I believe you will agree why. Also, it now passes emissions test with no problem. And to add icing to the cake, Alvin has the best prices.
