I don't know if any of you have read the hell with the paintshop over on the Off Topic section, but here goes nothing.
A problem that spawned when I got the car back from the paintshop [in a sorry state nonetheless] was that the brake system was acting up. The pedal would travel all the way to the floor sometimes and would cause the Brake light to come on. Sometimes if you keep pressing it the light will go off and it'll brake fine, other times [I can't time it because it's inconsistent] the brake light will go on and the brakes would require me to press them all the way to the floor and i'd have to stop at 4 times the normal distance that I used to, in order to stop properly.
Now this happened before the paintshop, but the occurence was rare [literally it happened maybe one a week or not at all]. Now braking is nearly impossible and it's a hazard. I'm having it taken to my mechanic on tuesday to have him Gravity bleed it and see if there's just air in the system or what not, but who knows.
If you see no fluid on the ground (check all four wheels) then probably a master cylinder, they are not hard to replace but if you are putting in brake fluid in the master cylinder and still no leak the fluid is probably leaking into your vacuum booster, try this, start car and push hard aginst the break and see if you can feel the pedel slowly going down, if so master cylinder, hopefully this helps.
