Craig just spent over an hour on the phone with me helping me to troubleshoot a USB connection problem (which was because of my computer), giving me an AutoProm tutorial, and providing me with lots of great tuning tips and direction. All because, and I quote, he "sold me a black plastic box for $325 bucks".
Customer service like that, in this day and age, is extremely rare. Craig went above and beyond the call of duty, and I was completely blown away by his knowledge, patience, and friendliness.
For those that have dealt with him, I'm sure this is nothing new, but I wanted to share my experience with the rest of the DIY group. You won't find a better guy out there!!
Craig's a great guy. I've been working with him way back when the adapters where bright yellow instead of the nice green they are now. He is even kind enough to send me some really great things to try out.. As he puts it if anyone can break it I can.
I just ordered a ALDU1+CABL1 from him-I had a question before the order-sooooo, I emailed him, I was surprised at how quickly he responded with a question and an answer-we went from there! Hope I get it tommorow.
Leaps and bounds beyond Xtronics and thier pocket programmer. After the 3rd pocket programmer tuned into a paper wieght I wouldn't reccomend them to anyone.
Well, I haven't actually started the car up yet using one of MY chips, so stay tuned and keep an eye out for the giant mushroom cloud over New York...
(But yes - the AutoProm itself is great!)
Yes, the anticipation of the first start-up ties your stomach up in knots!! I think I sat in the car for 5 minutes with my hand on the key before turning it .
