Has anyone used Accel fuel injectors? I pulled up Summit Racing and they have a set of 8: #26 for $249, #30 for $259, and #32 for $289 these are direct replacements for my 91 L98. cliffsurfs
You'll find a few members on this forum who insist on staying away from the Accel injectors. I'm not sure what specific problems were encountered, but "leaking brand new injectors" is probably tops on the list.
That being said, I have Accel 30 lbs. in my 383 - so far so good.
Called Summit and the direct replacement is a #21, part #15021 @ $259 a set of 8 with no mods to fuel pressure. Asked for manufact. wasn't quite sure who Acell outsorces to. Do you think the Ford pink top #22 would be a better choice. Will the #22's need any fuel pressure changes? Have to deal with Cailf. emissions. cliffsurfs
I don't have any experience with the Ford pink tops, but can't recall reading anything bad about them.
Actual flow rates will definitely vary by manufacturer and fuel pressure. The Ford 22 lbs injectors may wind up flowing more than a few lbs/hr than the stock 21s, so a slight decrease in fuel pressure might be necessary to keep it clean during open loop.

I recently insalled them on my 1991 L98. Very good results. I do however have a problem with the engine losing power at intermittent times. Did this before and after injectors were installed. Any ideas?
I bought the Accel #24 from JEGS about 3 months ago. It cost me $260 at my door. I installed and haven't had problems yet. Before installing, I ohmed them just to make sure. I have read that a lot of forum members do not like Accel. I have hear good things about the pink tops though. I say it's your decision.
I purchased the Accel #24lb injectors last year for my '91 L98. Paid $219.95 + next day air(South Carolina to California). Total $256.90. So far, not one problem. I put on probably just over 3k since they were installed.
