85 skips in WinALDL

85 skips in WinALDL
I really don't know if this is normal or not. I don't have another 85 to test. When logging with WinALDL about every 12-15th record is mostly zeros. All the records in between look normal. I was really worried about this because it does not do this on my 87, but is it a sign of something bad going on? I bought the car several years ago after a "tuner" pumped it up with NOS and blew it up. So, its now rebuilt and don't know if it was doing this all along or not.

I'm also using a cheap 2-transistor interface, not a nice max232 setup.
But, what could it indicate? I would think if the ecm was resetting,shorting, or something, the data after a "skip" would be out of whack, but its right in line with the previous line.

I don't know what would cause that but until I made my 'fancy' max233 setup I used the single transistor one that is on the WinALDL site. Got the same results with the two different interfaces. I was hoping to get an interface to work with my 90 and the TunerPro program but it doesn't seem to work.
