Brake Booster Wrong Size
How many of you guys have purchased parts house brake boosters only to find that the tie rod is too short/hole too small? Anyone have a GOOD part number for 1996 Corvettes? I considered the metal one, but I fear that it will also be too short.

The length of the pushrod should be adjustable. There should be a hex-headed bolt screwed into the master cylinder end of the pushrod. Grasp the pushrod with vice-grips or offset pliers and use a wrench to back out the adjustment bolt. Do this in small steps and test drive after each adjustment. If you adjust it too far, your brakes will drag and burn up the rotors and pads.
I'm not sure what you're referring to with the second half of your problem, with the hole being too small. What hole are you referring too?
