Default burping the radiator

Ive been reading that the radiator needs to be burped but on my1990 the radiator cap and little fill station is much higher than the engine, only the plastic overflow tank is lower. I drained some out to clean my TB and it was pretty dirty so I will flush it out and refill. Do I have to jack up the car and go trough the burping prosess with the fill higher than the engine or is that just for the older C-4s?

LT1s have a bleeder screw pass side by throttle body, not sure about yours. Take a look for one.

burping an l98 is a waste of effort--won't hurt, just the hard way of doin things...i just top up the rad each day for about a week and everythin's ''groovey''...even if you do do burp it , you'd be a dummy if you didn't check it at least a couple times to be sure there are no leaks
