Default Computer work needs to be done

Alright i got the engine rebuilt and thrown back in and it runs well. Now its time for me to get some computer work done. So i went to the PCM for less website to order a chip or somthing, then i realized i do not know where my ECM is. I read from thread i searched and it says its above my battery, i still can find it. To say the truth, im not really sure if i just need a new custom chip, somthing to plug in between my ecm connections, or reprogrammed ECM... i need somthing though. Any advice would be helpful.

your vette is a 1985...

as such, the ECM is in the dash board.

Get under the passengers side of the dash, it's way back near the fan blower box are.

Look up, and you will see two bolts (10mm) and a white plastic bracket thing.

Remove the bolts, the ECM will fall out.

The chip is in there.
