Default Accelerator pump nozzle advice please

On 396. Getting some sag at first throttle. Engine dies if I'm not careful. Especially when warm. In Holley 670CFM. OEM accelerator pump.

Current nozzle is 32. Straight type. (Tube type gives me fits when cruising speed vacuum comes up.)

Dont know if it matters but I live in Denver so higher altitude.

Will 35 remedy problem or should I go to 37 or 40?

Or is secret just to get all three and see what works?

Before You go changing nozzles, I would First verify and then double verify the fuel pressure and float levels are set correct. This step seems so basic but this seems to solve 98 percent of the problemss people have with holleys.

From there I would check the transition slot opening, if you look under the primary throttle bodies, .040 of the transition slot shuold be showing and the rest covered by the blades. Any more and your not getting full use of the tranision circuit.

if then the hesitation still persists, then start changing nozzles, its different for ever car so your really wont know whats best without trying. try the 40.
