Well today after getting back from messing around while people came to see the house, I decided I would try something I have been curious about. I decided I would clean my throttlebody. I didn't think I would see much. Well I didn't pull it off the car because I am going to be replacing the intake manifold gasket when we move into the new home. Well I took the accordian piece off with the MAF. I noticed then that the throttlebody was a dark black. Man, I sprayed the cleaner in and watched the gunk just start pouring out. I kept this up for a while and used some rags and stuff until it looked great and shiny. Well, I decided to spray some onto the MAF and damn it started pouring out dirty. I couldn't believe how much crap came pouring out. Well, I dried everything up and connected it up. I let is sit for a while and then started it up. Man does it sound better. I can't wait to take it for a nice drive.
The whole point of the story is that I would have been even more hesitant had it not been for some great information and guidance that I received here. You guys are great. I always pick up information here. I can't wait till I can change out that intake manifold and change the gasket.

Yeah, this was in my C4. I need to add it as well as my C6 to my profile. My C4 is a 1994 Admiral Blue. And I thought I liked corvettes when I got my C5 but I knew I loved Corvettes when I got my C4.
