Default Cooling system, question

'95 coupe, 6 spd.
I had my cooling flushed and filled at the dealer, and was told all looks good. Since that, 2 of the 3 times I've driven the car, it discharged about 2-3 ozs. of coolant after it sat for awhile. Each time, the car had been on the highway for at least 20 minutes, so it was up to full operating temp. Fluid shows up under the front of the engine, about in the center. Is this the area of the overflow discharge?

I've checked the tank forward of the rt. wheel, and the fill tank aft of the rt. wheel, both are at proper levels. Everything underneath looks good, nothing sprayed anywhere like this happens at speed, nothing dripping from the waterpump area. Operates at normal temperature when driving. Definitely doesn't happen immediately at shut down. Could they have overfilled the system?

Possibly an overfilled system but more likely they didn't burp the system to get the air out causing it to overflow. Either that or maybe a small leak. How are your engine temps?

After complete warm up, hangs at 185-190, cruising at highway speeds. Outside temp this morning at 55. Running the same as it was before they flushed it. Upper tank about 3/4 - 1 " below the shoulder of the fill collar.

If the system were overfilled, or would leak from the reservoir. That is not at the center of, nor at the front of the engine. If the system hadn't been burped, than it would be under filled and wouldn't leave anything on the floor. The tank in front of the wheel well, and the tank behind the wheel well, is one tank too many for me. I admit I don't know the later cars very well. Because of my lack of familiarity, I almost didn't post, BUT... I sense a possible emergency, here. The center of the car, at the front of the engine is consistent with a water pump leak. Even though you haven't spotted it leaking, I would try to figure out a way to put a diaper on the water pump before the next drive. That will serve two purposes. First, if it is the water pump, you ought to be able to tell an hour or so after your next drive. And second, if it is the water pump the diaper may save you from buying a $400 - $500 opti spark distributor. I hope the coolant is coming from somewhere else, but your description points at the water pump.

RACE ON!!!

Hopefully, I can blame my assumption of the area it's originating from on my irregular garage floor. The waterpump area on the engine is completely dry, and without evidence of any fluid contact.

The forward tank is the one with the 'dipstick' in it, the aft tank is the service-flush/fill tank.

What I'm not seeing is the discharge hose for the overflow. Would that be located somewhere around the driver's side of the engine compartment? The mystery puddle has appeared between the left wheel and the waterpump area, but was enough fluid to make it difficult to pinpoint it's origin.

RRT: Looks like you had it pegged. Put her on the lift, all looks good. Water pump area dry as a bone. Front tank showed slightly low which makes sense since it discharged about 4-6 ozs, we filled that to the proper level. Running temp is 185-190. Hopefully, it's done now.

Thanks for the input.
