While installing my new fuel injectors, I seem to have broken one of the retainer clips.
I have seen threads saying that the clips aren't needed, but the injector without it seems to "float" up and down too much in the fuel rail. Has anyone run an L98 without the clips?
Or, does anyone have a spare clip or two laying around that I could buy? None of the auto part stores seem to have them. I can try the dealer, but I have my doubts they'd be able to locate it. And, it would seem silly to buy a whole new injector just to get the clip.

The injectors wont move up and down if the rail is bolted down to the intake manifold..did you test it that way or off the car?
I heard of people here saying they didnt need it...however,Im the kind of person that worries alot so I need the clips.
Also,a new injector doesnt come with clips! I dont have any spares,sorry..if I did you would be the first to know.Try contemporary corvettes or taber corvette parts.I forget the web site links so just type them names in google or your search bar and youll get a linky.
I had great service from tabers...they have everything for C4's there.
Runnig 5-o injectors in 87 7 mos now, without clips and no issues at all, in fact they set just fine, make sure you bolt and torque the rail down correctly and you shouldn't have any issue.s
It's so much easier talking to someone who knows what I'm talking about. The dealer is going to ask me 5 times "this goes where?" and spend 1/2 hour looking at the microfiche, after which he will probably just tell me that he can't order it.
