c4 weight
building a C4 track car and I am having a problem finding an aprox weight to pick the cam for my 400 sbc.
any one know?

1984 Weight
3200 lbs + or - for the 1984. Mike Antonics Corvette Black Book on page 133 claims the 1984 weighs 3192 lbs. The 84 is a bit unique because it doesn't have a lot of added weight features like ABS, air bag, traction control and so on. Your car should weigh even less if you are going to be using aluminum heads on your 400 engine because the 84 came with iron heads. There are lots of things you can do to remove weigtht from these cars.

My '96 LT4, with a full tank just filled, amp and 2 12's weighed 3360 without me.

1/4 tank of gas, without the front swaybar, and mines a spare tire deleted car from the factory.....Im at 3135 without me in it.......

You can remove more than 200 lbs pretty easily. There is also so much hidden weight under the hood that can be removed.
