Just curious: what don't you like about the 3.73s?
In my experience they suit the SR quite well, but I've also got a 4+3. With an auto, I guess the 3.06 1st gear combined with some converter slip would seem to be pretty short, but I think 3rd and od would make nice cruising and top speed gears.
Have your speedo, shift points and torque converter lock up speeds been adjusted for the new gears. What about chip tuning? I think you need more enrichment with gears since you're now reving quicker, at least I did based on narrow band O2 data.

I have'nt installed my new heads, exhaust, or SR yet. I had a 3:73 gear installed as I thought I would like it with the SR. Coming from a 2:59, you can imagine the difference. It totally changed my highway driveability, and thats really what I don't like about it. I plan on changing it after I get everything else done. Should probably have split the difference between the two and I would have come up with a happy medium. Plan to do a lot more research before changing it again.
