Ok, here's the deal. Some day I want to put an MSD 6al on my car. At the local track I saw a vette that had it mounted in front of the surge tank, under the passenger side headlight. There is more room here than on the driver's side, I just need to know about heat and moisture. I don't have the luxury of parking my car when it rains, will the water around the headlights hurt the MSD box? My gut feeling is YES. I have no trouble mounting it on the driver's side, but water is just as much of a problem and there is less room to work with.
Also the cap on my surge tank doesn't exactly screw on. I think the threads on the tank itself are kinda messed up and it can easily pop off. I haven't ever had any trouble with it, I was just wondering if anybody else has the same thing. Basically I can screw the cap on, but then I can pull it straight off.
