Default 383 Coming Along....

So the motors IN!!! After a long couple months and lots of hard work the motor is in... for the most part. We have the tranny and motor connected, the engine mounts connected, and the motor in place. I still have to reinstall all the electric connecters to the back of the motor, tranny and starter, as well as the driveshaft.... Anyway, we slipped the headers in as well.... The hooker 2149s... My thoughts: The driverside went in from below easily. The passenger side was a much different story, we actually had to raise that side of the motor, and remove the starter to get them on. Im using mr gasket studs, hopefully that will help... But man these things have some flaws... The bolts litterally dont have clearance for any socket, and the engine mount through bolt literally hits the header... Any thoughts on what to do??? Oh well, theyre in... Now the hard part is the wiring at the firwell, and then the distributor...
Hey Im getting close and thats what matters.

Awright!! Feels good huh? I did this a couple a weeks ago. Comes out way easier than when it goes in. What is your intake system? Just know that it will be worth it and rest easy knowing little things are going to come up. Tackle these issues one at a time. Let us know when you fire it up for the first time!! -another Paul
