New setup shakedown runs.....

I machined and assembled the spool that corky is running. It was done with the same process as mine.
Corky, you will need to sell him the stub axles as well remember, since they are pinned specifically to that spool. Therefore you will need to get some replacement ones, which is not a show stopper. Just something to keep in mind. Or, Matt you could send me your entire D44, I could cryo it for you at my fathers shop, and pin your existing stub axles to match corkys spool.
It all can me done, and will make your D44 MUCH MUCH stronger than the stock carrier/condition.

I am doing some test n tune this week end.
What are we looking at a turn around on this?

if you buy a spool out right you would need the spool narowed a tiny bit and the bearing journel turned down to the saME SIZE THAT YOUR CARRIER IS NOW ITS NOT TO BAD OF A PROCEDURE PROBALLY A DAY AT YOUR LOCAL MACHINE SHOP
The process is not that bad, once you see how it needs to be done. But I went through 3 revisions/installations of the entire rear before we got it right.
Right, I just did not want you to forget that the stub axles would need to be replaced on yours or his redone.

it took me 2 installation to get the spindles from walking out with no luck .
