1986 Tach at Zero / Headlight motor
I'm new to the Corvette world. Have a 1986 Corvette which is yellow and was originally bronze color (found that out later).
Anyway, it's not in the greatest shape interior-wise, but aside from that it's an awesome car.
I do have a few problems with it and the two most annoying ones are the tach on the digital dash keeps reading zero. It lights up and the LED's work, but that's about it. When you initially start the car, it looks like it briefly works and then just sits at zero. Does anyone have any ideas on what the problem could be? Could it be a loose distributor wire or the dash itself?
My other question involves the right front headlight motor. The headlight goes up without any problems, but does not go down. Is this most-likely a gear issue or the motor? I'm thinking gear since the motor obviously works, but I'm definatly no expert.
Any assistance is appreciated. Thanks in advance.
Micah
The tach feed is a white wire from dist. The tach filer on mine is bolted to the back of driver side head. It may be unplugged at dist, or maybe broken wire before or after filter. Heres some info on the headlight doors. http://members.shaw.ca/dankai/Headlight%20Doors.pdf
