Pulled KS Module - Guess What...
I've been chasing a high RPM miss in my LT4 CE for about 3 months now. Recently I replaced the MAF at the suggestion of BlueWasp and it got MUCH better. I've almost got it cured.
I wanted to dissable the Knock Sensors and see if that made a difference. I tried a quick test and pulled out the KS Module from the PCM.
I drove the car and my miss was worse and even more predictable in exactly the same RPM range. The car ran fine otherwise. No SES light.
Is this a valid test? I'll take some more time tonight and actually disconnect the KS Sensors at the engine to see what happens. I have done a search but not seen a clear way to eliminate the KS system easily. I just want to do it temporarily to see if that is the last of my miss problem.
