Default New Flowmasters installed today---WOW!

Had a set of super 40 series mufflers installed on my 94 coupe today and the car sounds like it should now, a good low powerful tone, and really sounds off when you get on it. The car seems to be a little quicker after the install, will find out more after I test it more this weekend.
I am also going to look into a set of headers for the car, any suggestions on brand and where to find a good deal on a set?

Thanks for any input,
Renegade

You think it sounds good now-- turn off the radio and get one of those crack open the hatch thingy's. My "40's" still sound great after 2 yrs.

Got Super 40s here too... let em break in in about a week and they will sound much better - no complaints here... though I also have gutted cats and x-pipe in place of the resonator.

If you find the sound to be at a "good level" now, my experience has been the sound level will ratchet up several notches when you install long tubes. I have Flowmaster II's which are not as loud as your 40's and I was happy with the sound until I installed a Random Tech main cat and long tube headers. It is now a tad too loud for my tastes but as I get older I am relying on losing a little of my hearing and then the car will sound great again.

Just my .02, to each his own. Good luck.

Default Top 10 Shootout Flowmaster Mufflers

I have the Top 10 Shootout Flowmasters and they sound amazing. Let me tell you there is no sneaking home late at night with these mufflers. There is no sweeter automotive sound.

If you have the money now call Merle at Exotic Muscle for headers. www.exoticmuscle.com. They had a Group Purchase rate going on for 10 people. I dont know if the spots are filled yet or not.

Another good choice for you to consider in Long Tube Headers is Stainless Works. I purchased mine back in December on a group buy and I really like them. They also supply random tech hi flow bullet cats.

Not only did I gain quite a bit of sotp low end torq but the sound at idle and light throttle is much deeper and sounds really nice. After driving for a hour or so when everything is nice and hot "my perception" is that they grow a bit louder I kept the stock exhaust from the new cats back for the Q-ship effect and have no regrets about that.

There were quite a few of us C4s that bought SW LTs during the group buy and I've not heard any complaints from anyone on the looks or quality of their product

Note: I've also heard that the EM product is very good.
