O.K. looking for some help. I purchased a jet performance chip (it's the chip type not a module with wires) for my 92. Problem is it does not have instructions! So does anybody have instructions, or can point me in the correct direction as to where i can find them.
I was so excited to get it but no directions.
Instructions are posted on their website. I wouldn't get too excited as most people don't notice any improvement. Here's the link to their instruction page - http://www.jetchip.com/howto.asp
Good luck and please let us know if you notice any difference after installing.
Please don't think I'm trying to be a smart azz but the best instructions for that chip is how to throw it away. I've been there and done that with two different generic chips, then I got one from ski_dwn_it and the car is a completly different performer now. Get a chip burned by a tuner who knows what he is doing, you'll be a tad richer and a lot happier.

Thanks for the link, but these instructions are for the instalation of the performance "MODULE", and i have the "CHIP" style (circuit board with chip) But reading comments sounds as if it does nothing. But like everybody else, I must see for myself. So still looking for instal help!
I bought a Jet chip for my '94 S10 about three years ago. Very slight perf increase. In my case the chip piggybacks on the stock chip and if memory serves me right it will only fit one way. To be safe, go back to the site referenced above and click on "chips" in the upper left corner. Identify which stage chip you have then either click on "contact" or call them on their 800 number and I'm sure they will send you an instruction sheet.
Also keep in mind, if for some reason work is being performed later and you, a mechanic, or whomever hooks a programmer up to the car to refresh the stock chip to factory settings, you need to remove the Jet chip first or the program will wipe it. After any reprograming is done, you can then add back the Jet chip.
Cheers
