I disassembled mine and cleaned everthing up with a wire wheel and greased each of the pieces before putting it back together. Also my reverse lockout was missing so I cut a 1/8" diameter SS rod to the right length and bent the top 1/4" over 90 degrees then slid it into the original place for the lockout rod and it works great. Best mod for my car yet. Pretty straight forward once you see how it is put together. Good luck
A couple years ago mine got stuck in reverse.Couldn't get it out for anything.I bought a used shifter installed it works great.I wonder if my reverse lock out pin got messed up?
