I have a stock 95 LT1 A4, How do I find out what my gear ratio is? I just looked on the inside of the console storage compartment lid, no sticker there? http://www.corvettebuyers.com/c4vettes/ said I should look for some kind of stick connected to my gas-tank, I dont know what the hell that means... So if no-one can help i'll have to get ahold of the N.C.M for a Build Sheet i guess..Reason being, I am starting to ponder haveing it changed to 3.73 instead of haveing a bunch of internal motor mods done.....More torq is better RIGHT, because I dont care if I can go over 150mph

there should be a rpo codes look under console lid /storage lids if its not there dont know but I can tell you it does not have 3.73. gears so if you want to change you probally are safe to do if at 60/65 mph in o/d if your tach is below 2000 you probally have 2.59 or next one higher I just put 3.54 in my 90 big difference from 3.07 not mind blowing but a nice gain in accer. hope this helps geo
You looked under the wrong lid. RPO sticker is located in the storage compartment behind the passenger seat. G92 option is for 3.07 gears, otherwise you have the 2.59.

The guys ahead of me are correct, you probably have 2.59's, but if you change to 3.45's, even if you remain stock, it is like night and day.. Probably a 1/2 second or better drop in 1/4m times..

Yepers, thats where it is....I have G44 & G92 so now it's all about what to do next....Is it the Higher the Number the Better ????? Thanks Bro
Forget the G92, i gave you the wrong number. The G44 is good though.
Why forget the G92 ? In my RPO chart G92 = 3.07 "Performance Rear Axle". I Do have some codes though that are not on my RPO list....I was sure it was a comleat list.
G92 says it's the "performance" axle ratio versus standard.
G44 tell what the ratio is (3.07).
It's also etched on the bottom of the differential case.
