Remove the radiator and clean 20 years of crap that has collected between it and the AC condenser. Pretty easy and worth doing. Also hang out in the C4 tech section. Lots of good info there.

Agree been there done that , clean between radiator and condenser, lots of leaves etc there. As a bottom feeder heat is an issue with these units I used a can of WET in the radiator fluid on my 89 it helps. Make sure both fans are coming on behind the radiator and in front of the radiator, if you have one in front? Your engine could heat to 230 or degrees in traffic before the secondary fan kicks in your model as I remember. your on the right track but you have to remove the radiator and clean out the junk as mentioned.
