OK. If you have been following my drama, I have a 1990 'vert. Car had a top-side oil leak, so I replaced the VC gaskets and while in there put on some 1.6RRs (thanks to the help from you guys). Car ran rough until we found a vaccuum line had been knocked off. Anyways, still had the burning oil problem, so I took to a friend and guess what? Crankcase pressure is blowing oil out of the dipstick. Soooo, I guess I'm looking at freshening up the engine. Any sponsors or good deals out there? Thanks! Ben
If u r planning to freshen up by a mechanic than prefer pete do it for ya if he agreed to do, he just finished mine n fired up first time yesterday, both tranny n 383 engine.
I don't have any set-in-stone plans yet. I am going to keep the rebuild fairly mild with an emphasis on street fun/drivability. I already have a 2000 Z28 with 576rwhp/590rwtq for going fast, so I just want this to be a nice cruiser with SOME stones... I'm open to suggestions.
Well, it looks like a 383 is in my near future. I will probably keep the TPI on it for now and upgrade later. Headers and mid-pipe too... Oh well, at least the Vette will be even more fun when done.
