All of the above replies will help you. There are 21 years of info concerning the L98. There is a lot of CF members with the L98. You can also use the search engine here in the CF. I do know one thing by experience, L98 are torque monsters. Welcome to the forum.

Okay, since you got my drunk, smart-*** answer last night, here's what I know. It's a great engine with killer low end power. But due to a crappy intake design, it runs out of steam much too early.

'128s are the aluminum head given to 86L coupes and all verts, the switch occurred rather late in the 86 year run, around VIN 19130 for coupes. The primary difference between '113s and '128s is the exhaust port design.
