Regular flat tappet pushrods ( non roller blocks) are about 7.8"

I needed shorter pushrods after my head cam install and ended up with 7.15s. Stock was about 7.2"

YUP, 7.2 for a stock roller cam engine w/ 1.5 rockers. When we went to 1.6 rockers on a 383 build 7.15 length worked real well to help put the roller tip back on the middle of the valve tip. (travel wise)

Be carefull, cause some shops will claim 7.400" will work for stock LT1s and a heads/cam car!

If you're modding always measure; I know two guys that needed 7.00 on their rebuilds.

i guess then the best idea is to get a pushrod length checker to find ou for sure before something bad happens. that's the last thing i want after this build.
