1990 Corvette convertible Tacho problem
Any ideas on why my Tacho over reads?
the hotter the engine gets the less it over reads
IE: 5500Rpm at 45mph
BTW it is a 1990 Corvette convertible with a round dash
Any help is appreciated.

Lots of similar problems reported here about '90 tacho's
Common problem with the first year of new dash.
Read hi / low or not at all.
Tach filter mounted on bellhousing behind dist has been blamed but some have replaced with no change.

Tach in my 90 bounces - sometimes worse than others, with no noticeable trends. When it's particularly angry with me, bounces around 800 rpms (+/- 400 rpms). It does appear to read "right" though. Maybe I should be happy it does at least that!
