MAF for 1985 mod
Hi.
I have heard from different people that the 1985 MAF is different from the rest of the L98 MAFs.
Can somebody explain to me the difference or confirm that it is so.
If so why do the sparepart dealers sell one partno MAFs for all the L98?
I am going to buy and I would appreciate some info on this topic

The '85 MAF uses a frequency vs later ones that use plain voltage or something like that I've heard.
I know on my '85 I've tried a new replacement MAF from advance autoparts. It was a newer vane type design, but it did NOT work on my car. Car kept stalling and idled liek crap.
Went and bought a Bosch hot-wire type from an '85 camaro and it worked for years..
