Door Lights Question
Some times when I turn the steering wheel hard to the left or right the interior door lights come on then go off when you turn straight. ''Any suggestions''

I had a condition where my interiors wouldn't go out when I closed the door because the driver door sw wouldn't quite open. I did a quick fix by attaching a small Al plate (with double-sided Scotch tape) to the front of the door so that it would depress the sw far enough to extinguish the interiors.
My bet is that one of your door switches or maybe even the hatch sw is just barely turning the lights off and body flex is enough to allow the sw contact to close.

the door switch is adjustable. it may be just barely makeing closed contact. i had this problem. look at the switch, that skinny part will slide in and out , try to pull it out a bit. it may be really hard so be careful. once you close the door it will reset to the proper length. never put wd40 on the switch, i did, the stem will slide in and the close contact will not make. all this assumes your switch is same as on 94

Gordon mentioned that the door sw and the hatch sw on '88 are not adjustable; I don't remember which year they went to the adjustable model.

I found a new problem in relation to this. None of the interior lights come on at all when you open the doors. The fuse is ok. any suggestions??
