Sanderson Headers

There are a lot of different header's out there that are smog legal so you should have a fair shake at some just do a side by side comparisson of a few by talking and asking some questions like are the tubes all the same length are they flow tested are they DYNO tested?
Do that and you'll be good!
Thanks, Matt
Now I haven't built a whole lot of chevys... I'm used to building fords... So this is the problem we ran into...
the headers are a different port size/shape? i think they are called D port (like the aluminum heads are?!)
Either way, they totally eclipsed the exhaust port on the head and created a leak. The motor in the Z is an 85 truck 350.
What we did was get some paper gaskets, coated them in Copper Silicone gasket maker, let them cure, then cinched the headers down on them. No more leaks.
Please forgive my ignorance on chevy variations, i'm learning (and learning quick).
But as far as clearance is concerned, the sanderson headers fit the CAR (280Z) ALOT better than the Hedman headers. The Hedmans would hit the steering assembly slightly, where as the sandersons clear beautifully.
The Z front end/engine bay has clearance VERY SIMILAR to the C4 corvette.
CLIF NOTES:
Sandersons ROCK. FAT FLANGE, EXCELLENT QUALITY. USER RETARDATION CREATED A BAD SEAL AT FIRST ON THE EXHAUST PORTS, BUT WAS NOT BECAUSE OF THE HEADERS.
