Default Lots of problems this weekend

1st, had a leak in my A/C and lost all my freon.
Where is the low side connector, so I can add freon?
How many PSI should it be for R134?

A couple of months ago, I replaced my front rotor and pads. Now I have started get a really load chirp out of the front left, it gets really bad on right hand turns and goes away when the brakes are applied or I go over 15 mph.
What could this be?

Lastly, the back bolt on the passenger side, that holds the roof on will not come out. I can loosen it to a certain point and no more, seems like the bolt it screws into, has come loose.
How can I get a look at the bolt, can I just drop the roof panel or do I have to go in by the hatcth brackets?

TIA

1) A/C is one of the few systems on my car I don't mess with. I will learn it one day. Maybe Jet-Jock can help you there. I would take it to Agner on South Orange Ave just north of Sand Lake Road. They do primarily A/C work and are very affordable.

2) Pull the wheel and check that you don't have gravel or something stuck between the pad and the rotor. Otherwise you may want to try putting some of that anti-squeak compound on the backs of the pads and see if that helps.

3) If you have the bolt out far enough, put an open-ended wrench that's just big enough to go around the threaded part of the bolt under the head of the bolt and pull down on it. Then, using a rachet, try to unscrew the bolt. If you put enough downward pressure on the bolt, the loose fastener will sometimes get enough grip on the part for you to loosen the bolt. It's worth a try.

Thanks, already fixed the leak, now need to recharge the system, I have everything to do it, just need to know how much.

I will try that when I get home and see it I can get the bolt out, but I need to know how keep this from happening again.

Never thought of something stuck in there, thanks I will check it out.

Nobody knows where the lowside A/C valve is located on a 93 or how many lbs. of freon to add?

There should be a sticker somewhere under the hood which tells you. My 85 sticker is on the blower housing. I've been told that if you are using R-12, add that amount, and if using 134, multiply by .80 to get the correct amount. I'm pretty sure but don't quote me on this.

Also, the FSM for my 96 Monte Carlo states that if you have a catastrophic leak, 2 oz. of oil should be added when charging back up as well. Hope this helps

Low side is on the accumulator. My 92 takes 2 1/4 lbs, or 3x 12 oz cans. Are you sure you have R134??? If you have threaded fittings, your system takes R12, like my 92. Don't mix the two....
