They sell adapters to attach fuel pressure guages to the fuel rail and I have my hose guage attached as of now and have for the last month with no leaks but the heat will eventually deteriate the rubber hose. I would say, yes.

not safe...your engine vibrates constantly,then add road shock--pressure gauges are constucted (internals) from metals that are susceptible to metal fatigue/failure.... just ask any industrial maintenance guy how often they replace em and why they buy em by the case;industrial leaks of water or oil are a nuisance--gasoline is a much bigger hazard...if the gauge springs a leak while you are driving , the next person you'll talk to will be wearing a raincoat if you are lucky
Could be flirting with disaster,alot of vibration ect. I think it was CorvetteKid who did a write up on how he mounted his to the firewall using special hoses, brackets etc. Personally, I wouldn't just mount one permanently attached to the schrader valve.
