Show me your Supercharged Lt1's
Any information is much appreciated.
I'm running about 6 pounds of boost on a rebuilt motor. The compression has been lowered and I have an upgraded fuel and igntion system. Walbro 255lph hiflow fuel pump with 42lb/hr injectors.
I'm probably in the 400-425 hp range with all mods and can make a high 12's (on a good day) pass on street tires.
The car is fully streetable and I drive about 4-5k miles a year. Just change the oil every 3k kms or about 2k miles.
The SC is a great upgrade and fully driveable as a daily driver. If you push more than 5-6 PSI of boost expect to rebuild the motor. As a minimum I would suggest you upgrade the fuel system and ignition system in your car. Also run some type of timing retard and premium gas.
Sorry I don't have info on what was done to the motor (ie. cams, lowered compression) as this was done before I got it.
In conclusion, it is easy to get very fast times out of supercharged corvette but expect to do a rebuild if you're going to push the car.
