Muffler Eliminators
I have been giving serious consideration to cutting off my mufflers. I am a little worried about my vert being a daily driver though. I definately want it deep and throaty but not obnoxious. How do muff elims compare with say corsa, borla, etc?? Louder? Quieter? I know there have to be tons of you out there with opinions on this - all are welcome. Thanks :cheers:

Ihave no cat no mufflers but I do have dual 3" Monza tips with resonators which seem to take away some of the popping. I love the sound although it is quite loud at WOT hope this helps. :D

I thought about it for months before doing it on my 96LT4. I'm very glad I did. I drive mine 80 miles every day on the interstate. Sounds great. Also I need to tell you that I have removed all of my interior carpeting and insulation, except the insulation over the transmission and I still do not think it is too loud. Can still listen to the stereo with no problem. No difference in performance or fuel economy however. Mufflers weigh 36 pounds, so I estimate I saved 28 pounds with the 2.5 inch stainless steel straight pipes I had welded in. Total bill of $66.55. Hope this helps.
