I am looking for some information on your experience with lightweight radiators that will cool a high performance engine yet not add any weight to my 1984 Vette. I have run Griffin's in the past and may do that again but I have read about others using Dewitt, BeCool and a few others models. I am interested in weight and performance over price. I am running an automatic trans with it's own cool. Your thoughts and recommendations. Anyone interested in getting a group purchase together with a forum sponsor?
I Put A Dewitts In My 95. Temps Stay Close To Thermostat Temp. They Dont Creep Up Like Before. In Traffic, Summer, They'll Come Up A Bit But Not As Much As Before And Cool Back Down Quicker.
Im Very Happy.
I put a Ron Davis in my 1988 with automatic and 406" daily driver. It has been 115 this week where I live. No problems. I think Ron Davis is a few more bucks than DeWitts.
Regardless of who's model you choose (i hope mine) you are going to add some weigh. The original is a single row aluminum and all the replacements are double row. The radiator alone is going to weigh twice as much and then you are going to need about one more gallon to fill all the tubes, so figure 8 lbs of fluid. That's just the way it is...

Hi Tom,
Would you entertain a group purchase if we could put enough people together?
